“THE SUN AND MOON WITHIN”
(Woodridge NY) (2.14.23) Mukti Garceau is thrilled to announce that her debut album was released on February 14, 2023. “The Sun and Moon Within” is a compilation of Jazz & French Songs recorded at Plaid Dog Recording in Boston, featuring renowned musicians like Scotty Barnhart, director of the Count Basie Orchestra & extraordinary trumpet player, as well as world famous sax player Doug Lawrence, also with the Count Basie Orchestra.
“The Sun and Moon Within” is composed of 6 songs, chosen with the intention to bring light to our world & touch people’s hearts. This intention was made possible by the talent & musicianship of producers Carter Sanders & Bryan Brundige, pianists Jennhwan Wong & Sanders, drummer Stephan Chaggaris, Lucas Phillips on bass and Sanders again on guitar.
A French Canadian chanteuse who serenades in both French & English, Mukti Garceau’s voice is filled with delight. Her enormous talent and profound love for music conjure smiles and... touch the heart. A classically trained pianist and Opera singer, Mukti was raised in a family of musicians and has sung in numerous ensembles and bands from L.A. to New York. Her own ethos sums up this effervescent chanteuse: “I am at my happiest when I sing”.
