Metalium, a German power metal band from Hamburg, was formed in 1998 with members of Savatage and Yngwie Malmsteen. Their debut album, Millenium Metal [Chapter One] (August 10, 1999), featured epic battle themes. The second release, State of Triumph [Chapter Two] (August 29, 2000), explored mythological themes with technical songs like "Steel avengers" and "Years of darion". Metalium evolved with Hero Nation [Chapter Three] (April 23, 2002) inspired by literary works. Their fifth album, Demons of Insanity [Chapter Five] (May 17, 2005), delved into science fiction themes and is often cited as a fan favorite. The band's final albums included Nothing to Undo [Chapter Six] (2007) and Grounded [Chapter Eight] (September 25, 2009). Metalium disbanded in 2011.
