Mary Byrne is an Irish singer and television presenter born on 3 November 1959 in Dublin. She won the television singing contest Nollaig No. 1 in 2008 under the name Mary Lee with the single “Siúil Leat”. Byrne appeared on the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010, where she finished in fifth place. After signing with Sony Music Ireland, she released her debut studio recording, Mine & Yours, in 2011. The album reached Number 1 on the Irish Album Charts and included the track “I Just Call You Mine”, which reached number 12. Byrne collaborated with Neil Diamond at the Aviva Stadium before signing with Universal Music and Decca Records. Her discography included the recordings ...with Love (2011), Magic of the Musicals (2014), and Mary Sings the Sixties (2017). She published her autobiography, This Is My Life, in 2011.
