Ben Whale

Nicolas Benjamin Walpoth, known professionally as Ben Whale, was born on August 21, 1993, in Bern, Switzerland. He is a Swiss singer, rapper, and producer active in the hip-hop scene since 2016. He received early musical training at the Bern Conservatory, where he learned to play the piano at a young age. Whale gained recognition with the release of his EP Pussy $ounds in 2016. He continued to develop his sound with the release of Sonar in 2018, a project blending elements of R&B, soul, and hip-hop, and later In the Books in 2021. His music is noted for combining rap, melodic vocals, and autotune-driven production. In 2017, he was awarded Best Breaking Act for  Pussy $ounds.
