Hunterz is a British Asian musician and producer with Indian pop and Bhangra influences. Born in the 20th century and raised in the United Kingdom, he received early training in Indian classical music from the Patiala Gharana and studied guitar and keyboard at private music schools. He began his professional production career in 1999 with the solo studio album No Limits (1999), after co-producing the group Slave II Fusion. He made his vocal debut in 2003 with the Bhangra studio album Most Wanted (2003), which featured the duet “Aaja Kurhiye” (2003) performed with Hans Raj Hans. He followed this with his second solo studio album, Phat Trax Vol. 1: Blazin (2004), a project with an urban orientation that featured his brothers Ishers and Vee and his cousin Chan. That same year, he contributed the track “Baby Girl Mix” (2004) to the compilation Streets of Bollywood. In 2005, Hunterz co-wrote and performed the single “Reasons” (2005) with the reggae band UB40, appearing at the Live 8 London concert in Hyde Park. His recording career includes the production of remixes for the album Bollywood Breaks Vol. 1 (2005) and the release of the studio album Masterpiece (2008).
