True Live is an Australian ensemble formed in 2003 in Melbourne. Led by Ryan Ritchie, the group combined jazz, soul, hip hop, and classical music, incorporating a string section in its performances. In 2005, the band signed with Shock Records and released the EP Mintons. Its lead recording, “TV”, reached number 76 on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2006. The ensemble's debut studio recording, The Shape of It, reached number 85 on the ARIA Albums Chart. True Live performed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and various festivals including Big Day Out and the Meredith Music Festival. The group released its second album, Found Lost, in 2009 through the label Illusive Sounds. The track “Something to Be” received attention in Europe, leading to a contract with Sakifo Records. Ritchie and Tamil Rogeon also collaborated in the RAah Project.
