Lords of the Trident, an American heavy metal band from Madison, Wisconsin, was formed in 2005 by Ty Christian, Akira Shimada, and Brian Cole. The group began as a recording project and transitioned into a live lineup in early 2008. Their debut album, Death or Sandwich, was released on February 13, 2009. Following the release, the band underwent several lineup changes. Lords of the Trident's second full-length album, Chains on Fire, was released on January 28, 2011. Their third album, Frostburn, came out in 2015 through Killer Metal Records. Later releases included the EP Shadows from the Past (2018), the single Pull the Plug (2019), and the album Power Outage (2020). The band is known for its energetic live shows and has toured with high-profile acts such as DragonForce, Helloween, and Sabaton.
