Kev Hopper (born 1961) was an English indie, experimental rock, and electronica bass guitarist and visual artist. Hopper was the bassist for the band Stump, an experimental rock group formed in London in 1983. He performed on the recordings Quirk Out (1986) and the group's full-length album A Fierce Pancake (1988). Following the group's dissolution, he focused on a solo career that blended experimental electronica with melodic pop. Hopper released the solo albums Stolen Jewels (1990), Whispering Foils (2000), and Saurus (2002). Between 1998 and 2005, he performed with the laptop quartet Ticklish, and later formed the group Prescott with Rhodri Marsden, Frank Byng, and Keith Moliné. This ensemble released the recordings One Did (2014) and Thing or Two (2017). Hopper released the recordings Sans Noodles (2022) and XiX (2025). He was also a painter.
