Rebellion, banda alemana de power metal, fue creada en 2001 por el guitarrista Uwe Lulis tras abandonar Grave Digger. Junto con el bajista Tomi Göttlich y otros músicos, firmaron con Drakkar Records y publicaron su álbum de debut, Shakespeare's Macbeth - A Tragedy in Steel, en 2002. La banda fue telonera de Running Wild en una gira y tocó en el festival Wacken Open Air ese mismo año. Su segundo álbum, Born a Rebel, se publicó en 2003. En 2005, Rebellion cambió a Massacre Records y comenzó su trilogía vikinga con Sagas of Iceland - The History of the Vikings Part 1. Tras un cambio de formación en 2010, Rebellion publicó Arminius - Furor Teutonicus en 2012.
