Kon Kan es un proyecto canadiense de danza fundado en Ottawa en 1988. El grupo está formado por Barry Harris, nacido el 1 de enero de 1964 en Ottawa, y Kevin Wynne. Barry Harris trabajó anteriormente como DJ y periodista en la escena de clubes. En 1988, junto con Kevin Wynne, fundó el proyecto Kon Kan, que rápidamente atrajo la atención internacional. Kon Kan se mueve estilísticamente entre el dance-pop, el house y la música electrónica de club. Las producciones incorporan elementos de sampling, sintetizadores y ganchos pegadizos. En 1989, el grupo lanzó el sencillo "I Beg Your Pardon", basado en un sample de Lyn Collins. La canción alcanzó el número 15 en las listas estadounidenses y se convirtió en un éxito internacional. Ese mismo año se publica el álbum debut Move to Move (1989), que alcanza el número 5 en Canadá. Le siguen otros singles con "Harry Houdini" (1989) y "Puss n' Boots/These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" (1990). En 1993, la banda publica su segundo álbum Syntonic (1993). El sencillo "Sinful Wishes " acompaña al álbum. El éxito comercial no alcanza el del debut. En los años siguientes, Kon Kan se mantuvo activo principalmente como grupo de club. Barry Harris también trabajó como productor y remezclador para otros artistas.
