Natural de Orleans, donde nació el 14 de abril de 1998, Johnny Jane (su seudónimo es una referencia a "La Ballade de Johnny Jane" de Serge Gainsbourg) comenzó su aprendizaje musical con el piano, y siguió estudiando en el Conservatorio, que abandonó en noveno curso para dedicarse a la música rock. Aprendió guitarra y batería. Desde los 18 años estudia en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Bruselas. Con sólo 20 años, produce su primer EP, Au Pire C'Est Rien. Este primer intento definió su fórmula musical: pop francés con un toque de electro, al que añadió una voz falsamente despreocupada inspirada en Julian Casablancas (The Strokes). Se instaló en París y, en 2021, empezó a publicar temas en Internet que obtuvieron una amplia difusión: "Maintenant" y "Dans mes rêves" . Al año siguiente, Johnny Jane lanzó " Hier soir " y "Kleenex ", que perpetuaron la imagen de su personaje festivo, melancólico y sensible. En 2023, lanzó dos sencillos, "À l'Américaine" y "Deux ". En 2024 publicó un nuevo tema, "Attitude" , y ese mismo año promocionó el álbum Attitude(s) (nº 164 en Francia). La portada de este último álbum le muestra enmascarado sobre un fondo azul que recuerda deliberadamente al vídeo de Melody Nelson , de Serge Gainsbourg.
