Osaka Popstar, supergrupo de punk rock formado en 2006 por el neoyorquino John Cafiero. El grupo publicó su álbum debut Osaka Popstar and the American Legends of Punk el 23 de mayo de 2006, con letras que hacían referencia a personajes de anime japonés como Astroboy y Sailor Moon. Su primer single fue una versión de "Wicked World", de Daniel Johnston. En 2006, Osaka Popstar salió de gira con los Misfits durante el Fiend Fest '06 por varios países. En 2008, publicaron un EP en directo titulado Rock 'em O-Sock 'em Live. Trabajos notables incluyen una versión de "Waiting Room" de Fugazi con Juicehead en 2012 y respaldando a "Weird Al" Yankovic en una portada de un álbum tributo de la canción de los Ramones "Beat on the Brat" en 2017.
