William Allen Mays, conocido profesionalmente como Bill Mays y nacido el 5 de febrero de 1944 en Sacramento, California, es un pianista de jazz. Se interesó por el jazz a los 15 años tras asistir a un concierto de Earl Hines. Desde 1969 hasta principios de la década de 1980, Mays trabajó como músico de sesión de estudio en Los Ángeles, acompañando a cantantes notables como Al Jarreau, Peggy Lee y Frank Sinatra. En 1984, Mays se trasladó a Nueva York y empezó a dirigir sus propias bandas. Ha grabado más de tres docenas de álbumes con su propio nombre, entre ellos Two of a Mind (1983), One to One (1990) y Mays in Manhattan (1996).
