Julian Perretta es un cantautor y productor inglés nacido en Londres en 1989. Saltó a la fama por primera vez con el sencillo de 2010 "Wonder Why" y a partir de ahí su popularidad comenzó a despegar, culminando en 2016 cuando tuvo una serie de éxitos incluyendo "Miracle" que alcanzó el número uno en 13 países. Perretta comenzó su carrera musical trabajando en bares y clubes de Londres, y aumentó sus ingresos trabajando en una cafetería. Su primera oportunidad le llegó en 2008, cuando fue invitado a telonear a Mark Ronson y Amy Winehouse durante una gira europea.

Aunque Perratta reside en el Reino Unido, siempre ha tenido más éxito en Europa continental que en su país de origen; sus dos álbumes de estudio hasta la fecha, "Stitch me Up" en 2010 y "Karma" en 2016, se han vendido más en el extranjero que en el Reino Unido. El lanzamiento esporádico de material y la gran brecha temporal entre su álbum de debut y la continuación se explican por el hecho de que, además de su carrera en solitario, Perretta es un compositor de éxito y ha escrito canciones para una serie de importantes artistas discográficos.
