Conocida sobre todo por su trabajo con The Weather Girls ("It's Raining Men"), Martha Walsh (nacida en San Francisco el 28 de diciembre de 1953) empezó como corista de Sylvester en la época de la música disco. Dotada de una potente voz, se unió a Izora Rhodes Armstead para formar el dúo The Weather Girls, que abandonó en 1988 para emprender una carrera en el house y el R&B. Tuvo éxito con su álbum de debut homónimo, publicado en 1993, que incluía los éxitos "Carry On" y "Give It to You", y sobre todo gracias a sus numerosas colaboraciones, en particular con Seduction, Black Box, C+C Music Factory, Jocelyn Brown, Tony Moran, The First Ladies of Disco, RuPaul y Showtek, antes de convertirse en la cantante habitual del DJ Todd Terry. Grabó dos álbumes más, Something Good (2013) y Love & Conflict (2020), así como varios sencillos.
