Vargo es el músico y productor electrónico alemán Ansgar Üffink. Fundó Vargo en 2000, publicando inicialmente el tema instrumental "Electric Diver", que más tarde apareció en el recopilatorio Global Psychedelic Chillout 2. En 2001, Üffink lanzó "Get Back to Serenity", que se convirtió en un tema definitorio del proyecto después de que la vocalista Stephanie Hundertmark fuera seleccionada para interpretarlo. El álbum de debut de Vargo, Beauty, se completó a lo largo de varios años y se publicó en 2004, logrando un gran éxito internacional y circulando por Europa, Estados Unidos y Asia. Entre sus lanzamientos posteriores figuran Precious (2010) y Goodbye Is a New Beginning (2014).
