Radio Birdman es una banda australiana de punk rock formada en 1974 en Sídney. El grupo fue fundado por Deniz Tek y Rob Younger tras abandonar sus proyectos anteriores, TV Jones y The Rats. La formación original incluía al teclista Philip «Pip» Hoyle, al baterista Ron Keeley y al bajista Carl Rorke. En 1977, la banda lanzó el EP Burn My Eye y su álbum de estudio debut, Radios Appear. El disco fue producido por John Sayers y Charles Fisher y recibió una reseña de cinco estrellas en Rolling Stone Australia. Posteriormente, Sire Records adquirió los derechos del álbum para un lanzamiento más amplio y alcanzó el puesto 51 en las listas australianas. El grupo grabó el álbum Living Eyes en 1978, aunque no se publicó hasta 1981, tras la disolución inicial del grupo. La banda se reformó en 1996 y, posteriormente, realizó una gira y publicó el álbum Zeno Beach (2006) a través de su propio sello, Crying Sun Records. El disco fue dedicado a la memoria de Rorke. El grupo fue incluido en el Salón de la Fama de los ARIA en 2007 y fue protagonista del documental de 2017 Descent into the Maelstrom – The Radio Birdman Story. En 2020, la banda ocupó el puesto número 44 en la lista de Rolling Stone Australia de los 50 mejores artistas australianos de todos los tiempos.
