Aaron Brink (ABX) y Steve Reidell (STV SLV) formaron en 2007 el dúo estadounidense de producción discográfica The Hood Internet, con sede en Chicago (Illinois). Especializado en mashups, el grupo empezó a publicar sus temas en su sitio web. En 2007, la revista New York clasificó su tema mashup "Drug Drug Kiss Kiss" en el cuadrante "lowbrow" y "brilliant" de su Matriz de Aprobación. El dúo produjo trabajos notables como "Please, No Pictures" de BBU, incluido en la mixtape Bell Hooks de BBU, y Toothy Wavy de Max B e Isaiah Toothtaker. Su primer álbum de material original, FEAT, se publicó en Decon en septiembre de 2012.
