Born in New York, raised in Bondi and now a Melbourne based artist, Shira is recognised for her soulful tone, always captivating her audience with superb vocal fluidity and transmuting her personal experiences into dreamy RnB/pop songs you want on repeat.
With a name meaning ’the song of God’, Shira was brought up on soul, R&B and hip hop, inspired by the sounds of Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey & recently influenced by artists like Snoh Alegra, PJ Morton and Jazmine Sullivan.
Having just released her eagerly anticipated debut EP in March 2026 entitled 'Love’s not meant to hurt', this body of work encapsulates what it feels like to learn about love, loss, heartache & spiritual growth.
Co-produced & co-written with Sydney studio wizard Johann Willenberg (Random Soul, Secret Spade) the project is brought to life through relatable & vulnerable storytelling, memorable wisdom infused hooks and her signature style of ear candy stacked vocal harmonies.
“The creative process in the studio is a safe and expansive place for me. Music is how I can breathe, feel joy and shed sorrow - and where I can make some sense of the world and my place in it.”
