Cada año, desde "La Lambada" de 1989, las distintas discográficas han intentado imponer "el baile del verano". A lo largo de los años, han incluido la macarena, el mambo, la soca y otros temas tomados del folclore latino y africano. En 2009, es el kuduro el elegido, y proliferan las recopilaciones de este auténtico baile angoleño. King Kuduro y Obed eligieron una adaptación en francés, titulada "Il faut danser" .
