Agitation Free es un grupo alemán de Krautrock fundado en Berlín en 1967. La formación original estaba compuesta por Michael "Fame" Günther (bajo), Lutz "Lüül" Ulbrich (guitarra), Lutz "Ludwig" Kramer (guitarra), Christoph Franke (batería) y Burghard Rausch (batería, al que se unió más tarde). La banda se dio a conocer por su enfoque experimental, que combinaba sonidos psicodélicos, influencias orientales y pasajes improvisados. Su álbum de debut, Malesch, se publicó en 1972 y se inspiró en el viaje de la banda por Oriente Próximo. Combina sonidos esféricos con experimentación rítmica y se considera un hito del Krautrock. Le siguió el segundo álbum 2nd en 1973, que continuaba con el estilo de improvisación y supuso el reconocimiento internacional de la banda. Aunque Agitation Free se disolvió en su formación original en 1974, su influencia en la escena del Krautrock sigue siendo indiscutible. Tras varios proyectos en solitario y en grupo de sus miembros, la banda se reunió varias veces en la década de 1990. en 1999, la banda publicó el álbum en directo Last, que contenía grabaciones de la década de 1970. en 2023, Agitation Free publicó el álbum de estudio Momentum, que demuestra que la banda no ha perdido nada de su energía experimental incluso después de décadas.
