Ernest Bert Ashworth, nacido el 15 de diciembre de 1928 en Huntsville, Alabama, fue un cantante estadounidense de música country. Comenzó su carrera en la emisora de radio local WBHP antes de trasladarse a Nashville en 1950 y firmar como compositor para Acuff-Rose Music. Ashworth saltó a la fama con el sencillo "Each Moment (Spent With You)" en 1957, que alcanzó el número 5. En 1962 pasó a Hickory Records y logró su mayor éxito con "Talk Back Trembling Lips", que alcanzó el número 1 en la lista Billboard Hot Country Songs durante 42 semanas. Este éxito le permitió entrar en el Grand Ole Opry en 1964. Ashworth falleció el 2 de marzo de 2009 en Harstville, Tennessee.
