Egil Johansen

Egil Johansen (11 de enero de 1934 - 4 de diciembre de 1998), conocido como "Bop", fue un batería de jazz, compositor y arreglista noruego-sueco. Nacido en Oslo, Johansen comenzó su carrera profesional a los 16 años en la orquesta de Einar Stenberg. Se ganó el apodo de "Bop" por su interpretación del género bebop. En 1954, Johansen se trasladó a Suecia y colaboró con músicos como Arne Domnérus, Bengt Hallberg, Georg Riedel y Jan Johansson. Johansen participó en las grabaciones Swinging in Sweden (1957), Quincy's Home Again (1958) y Jazz at the Pawnshop (1977). En 1973, Johansen fundó la cooperativa Jazz Incorporated, que permaneció activa hasta 1983. Realizó más de 1.200 conciertos con los Brazz Brothers entre 1985 y 1998. Johansen recibió el Buddyprisen en 1993. Murió en Nyköping, Suecia.
