Chappell Roan es una compositora, icono queer y solista estadounidense de Willard (Missouri), conocida por sus carismáticos himnos synth-pop como"Pink Pony Club". Nació como "Kayleigh Rose Amstutz" el 19 de febrero de 1998 y empezó a tocar el piano a los 10 años. A la edad de 17 años, ya escribía música original y recibía ofertas de sellos discográficos, firmando finalmente con Atlantic en 2017 y lanzando su EP debut, School Nights, ese mismo año.
