Orville Johnson, nacido en 1953 en Edwardsville (Illinois), es un guitarrista resonador estadounidense surgido de la escena musical de San Luis. Comenzó su carrera como músico de sesión y ha publicado numerosos álbumes en solitario y en colaboración. Johnson ha aparecido en plataformas notables como el programa de radio A Prairie Home Companion y el programa de televisión The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Debutó en el cine en 1995 con la película Georgia, en la que interpretaba a un músico. ¡Entre sus lanzamientos destacan Blueprint For The Blues (1998), Slide & Joy! (1999) y Freehand (2003).
