Los indie-rockers de Liverpool Red Rum Club se formaron en 2016 y están compuestos por Francis Doran (voz principal), Tom Williams (guitarra, coros), Michael McDermott (guitarra/coros), Simon Hepworth (bajo), Neil Lawson (batería/percusión) y Joe Corby (trompeta). La banda lanzó su LP debut Matador en 2019 y continuó reuniéndose con su segundo esfuerzo, The Hollow of Humdrum, en 2020. El LP cimentó su estatus como uno de los nuevos actos más emocionantes del Reino Unido, con temas como "Kids Addicted" y "Drown " capturando su mejor lado. El tercer álbum de Red Rum Club, How to Steal the World , llegó en 2021, mientras que 2024 supuso el lanzamiento de su cuarto álbum, Western Approaches , que recibió su nombre de un antiguo muelle naval de Liverpool y debutó en el número 8 de la lista de álbumes del Reino Unido. Tras el lanzamiento, Red Rum Club se embarcó en un extenso programa de giras. Actuaron en los principales festivales del Reino Unido, como Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds y Y Not Festival.
