The Shape Shifters, an underground hip hop collective based in Los Angeles, California, formed in 1998. The group consists of Akuma, Awol One, Circus, Die Young, Existereo, LA Jae, Life Rexall, Perk One, and Radioinactive. Their early releases included the EPs Triple Threat (1998) and 2012 (1999). The Shape Shifters released their debut album Planet of the Shapes in 1998, followed by Know Future and Adopted by Aliens. The group's notable singles include "Triple Threat" (1998) and "2012" (1999). In 2004, they released The Shape Shifters Was Here.
