France Joly, born France Joli on February 2, 1963, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a singer known for her contributions to disco and soul music. Growing up in Dorion, Joli began performing at an early age, appearing on television by six years old. At the age of thirteen, she met musician Tony Green, who would later produce her debut album France Joli. The album, released in 1979, featured the hit single "Come to Me", which topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for three weeks and peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. France Joli's subsequent albums include Tonight (1980), Now (1982), and Attitude (1983) under Epic Records, which featured collaborations with notable producers like Pete Bellotte and Giorgio Moroder. Her single "Gonna Get Over You" reached number 2 on the American dance charts in 1981. Despite her early success, France Joli's career saw a decline in the mid-1980s, leading to a hiatus from recording until 1997 when she reunited with Tony Green for the single "Touch". If You Love Me, her sixth studio LP, arrived in 1998 and was followed by a participation in the album Divas of Disco: Live alongside with CeCe Peniston, Linda Clifford, A Taste of Honey, and Thelma Houston in 2010.
