IBOZ is from Senegal. Coming from a group called Soukourat created in 1996. In a few years, they knew how to impose their style and make their place among the best artists of the Senegalese hip hop scene.
In 2005, with his group, they won the “hope” prize at the hip hop award festival.
Their fame allows them to record a title with the one who was the reference of Senegalese music Youssou Ndour the title dedicated to mothers entitled "Yaye" was released in 2008.
After having proven himself in a few countries on the African continent, he arrived in France in 2009 and decided to pursue a solo career.
Thus, in 2010, he released the title "Dklé wolof". A new title that reveals a completely different facet of his artistic talent. Indeed, there is a certain “sun-Afro-dance” orientation. Title was ranked 17th at the Yacast club; the ranking of the best titles most broadcast in the clubs of France and was in rotation on Fun radio, Contact fm, Vitamine and many others. Thanks to this piece, he was brought to perform in many clubs all over France.
In 2011, he released the title "Music Africaine". A title that is in line with its previous title that it has been in rotation on various radios and discos. The clip of the latter was widely broadcast on M6 music.
In 2013 he released “Ritmo calienté” featuring Orli and “Fondé la” in collaboration with Carlito, which remained in the top 40 of the yacast rankings for more than 16 weeks (between 20th and 30th place for the most broadcast titles in clubs).
In 2014, he offered us the title “Chérie Oh Yé” with an electro touch to mark the difference. The latter was the top entry in the yacast rankings and was ranked 11th in the top 40 while remaining more than 16 weeks in the top 20.
IbOz is a unique and atypical talent that takes us on a journey through current musical trends; all this with boundless joy and energy.
In July 2020 he presents the title "Diéguéma" in duet with the Senegalese star Admow. A subtle featuring played all over Africa.
