Jeff Franzel is a songwriter, jazz pianist and educator from NYC, with a successful career in the music business for over 35 years. He has accompanied Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme and Sammy Davis Jr. while playing with The Les Brown Orchestra.
Since moved to NYC in the early '80s, Jeff became a successful pop songwriter: his #2 pop hit “Don’t Rush Me” for Taylor Dayne, and writing hits for ‘The Temptations’, ’NSYNC (two Christmas songs), Clay Aiken, Josh Groban, Placido Domingo, and Dianne Reeves. Featured on over 275 records internationally, with more than 20 top ten singles.
Jeff’s song ‘Never Was Blue Like’ (Shawn Colvin) was featured in Runaway Bride. His song ‘When You Know’ (Shawn Colvin) was featured in Serendipity.
My Jazz Quartet performed at Cezanne frequently in Huston and I was fortunate to perform with an amazing TRIO. David Craig - bass has toured with Dizzy Gillespie, Randy Brecker, James Moody and Herb Ellis. Woody Witt- Alto Sax/Flute - Professor of Music at Huston Community College and Artist Affiliate at the University of Huston.
Woody has performed with Randy Brecker, Louis Hart and Louis Hayes. Joe Ferreira - Drums - performed with Clark Terry, Jon Faddis, Steve Turre and Bunky Green.
