The Hypothesis is a modern melodic death metal-act formed during the deadly cold winter 2009 in Kouvola, Finland. The Hypothesis designed by Juuso Turkki (former Red Moon Architect vocalist) came up with the band’s name wanting to create an individual state of imagination. In the year 2009 The Hypothesis recorded an EP 'Nightshade'. The Hypothesis had their first line-up changes 2011 when the drummer Rolf Pilve (Stratovarius, Solution .45 & Status Minor) joined the band. With a new drummer The Hypothesis recorded their debut album 'Origin' and released it 2016 via Inverse Records. Among the critically acclaimed releases the band has won the Finland’s Wacken Metal Battle and shared stages with bands like Swallow The Sun, Scar Symmetry, Wolfheart, Before The Dawn & Whispered.
