Tamas Szigyarto born and raised in St.Petersburg, Russia. Started classical piano training at the age of 10 and switched to drums at 17. Played in various alternative rock bands for the next 10 years. Being an active drummer Tamas kept his love and attraction to piano music over the years and considered piano an integral part of his musical journey.
Inspired by French composers of 20th century such as Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy and Francis Poulenc, he started writing for piano. Later discovered great American music of Aaron Copland, Ned Rorem, Ingram Marshall, John Adams, Philip Glass and new generation of composers like Timo Andres, Nico Muhly, Christopher Cerrone and others.
Actively writing over the last 5 years, released three works in 2020-21: piano poem “Blue Hour” together with composer Elena Oleynik, mini suite “Memory Waves” and piano fantasy “Membrany”.
