Muzikayise Mashele Mbungela or MYK GVNS (Pronounced "Mike Givens") as he is known in the musical spheres, is a South African-born Content and Music Producer, Vocalist, and Songwriter. The nom de plume is derived from "Michael Mphiwa" their late father's name as he felt this brought him closer to the source of his talents as his previous stage name "M-zee", which was inspired by his birth name, had boxed him into a predominantly Hip Hop Artist. MYK GVNS allows him to explore musical genres like a fusion between jazz, gospel, hip hop, and dance music.
MYK GVNS, founder of the now-defunct "NelCity Basement" and also one of the earliest Mpumalanga-based performing artists to get a spread and a song featured in SA's Hype Magazine in 2009 returned from a hiatus from music that saw him re-emerge (digitally) in 2016 as a more refined artist from who he was close to a decade ago.
MYK GVNS has just released his debut album "Journey To The Moon" on all digital platforms.
