The DEAD "Dead Peepol" is a Ghanaian hip hop duo from Kumasi( Ashanti Region) founded in 2019.
They are composed of Frimpong Mark Agyin, born on 5th August, 1994. He was born to a very religious parents, Mr. John Karikari Asiamah and Mrs. Hannah Karikari Asiamah. He completed his senior high at Kings College. Owusu Richard was born to Mr. Owusu Ernest and Mrs. Felicia Adu Owusu. He also completed his senior high school at Osei Kyeretwie. Dead Peepol are known by their stage names Kofy Control and Cweku Ritchii.
Dead Peepol released their commercial debut single "Otan Hunu" (Sheer Jelousy) in 2020 which was a Hip Hop song with Drill leanings. The Rap duo, Dead Peepol along with Rich Kent made huge waves with this record and it was Number 1 on Apple Music Ghana for weeks.After their single "Otan Hunu" went viral, Dead Peepol made a remix of the song featuring a host of artists including Fameye, Rich Kent, Medikal, Kuami Eugene, Tulenkey, Deon Boakye, Malcolm Nuna and Bosom Pyung which made it up to the top ten Ghanaian songs on Apple Music again...
'Against' was their follow-up single after scoring their biggest viral hit a couple of months ago.
On the 26th of February, Dead Peepol released another street heat with the uprising RnB singer "Big C" which featured Ghana's Queen of music "Wendy Shay", Bosom Pyung, Kofi Pages, Malcolm Nuna and Kweku Flick. They titled this one "No Noise"...
On February 12, Dead Peepol got 6 nominations from the Biggest Awards Scheme in Ghana, (3Music Awards). The nominations are BREAKTHROUGH ACT OF THE YEAR, SONG OF THE YEAR, VIRAL SONG OF THE YEAR, HIP HOP SONG OF THE YEAR, BEST COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR AND BEST GROUP OF THE YEAR.
