Johnny Cash Experience ...
was founded on a whim in 2009.
The 5 musicians from the Lower Rhine made it their task to maintain the sound of the "MAN IN BLACK", the country legend JOHNNY CASH.
With great passion and enthusiasm, the band performs a large number of songs from the old master of country music.
In 2011 the band performed in the Prisons of Duisburg and Cologne and was accompanied in Duisburg by a television team.
On November 19, 2011, the album "Memories Are Made of This" was awarded the Austrian Country Music Award (ACMF) in the category "Best international Album of countrymusic".
5 more albums were subsequently produced.
This was followed by nationwide appearances and guest performances at festivals in the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Austria.
After some line-up changes, front man and singer Joe Sander left the band in January 2018. In November 2019 there was a final farewell concert under the name "Joe Sander & Friends" for fans in Asia at the Miri Country Music Festival.
In 2021 Joe Sander returned to the band after a creative break.
The band has enjoyed great success since it was founded and played up to 50 concerts a year. Sometimes in front of 50 - and sometimes in front of 5,000 spectators.
Praise from the Cash family, appearances with Bob Dylan's cousin and good reviews from music critics….
In 2021 Joe made his comeback with the 6th album in the band's history: "Five Feet Higher".
