The modern era of music has given way to enigmas and artists of all shapes and forms who break the norm of what we have come to expect as far as what an artist truly is. Bronze is one such artist that epitomises the essence of growth and life’s steps into the modern era. A multi-talented Artist and Producer, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and raised in Detroit. Bronze is making music that is thoughtful, conscious and driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread love and joy to all those that hear it.
Born Bronze Nazareth, MI. Bronze was picked up by RZA as a Wu Tang producer in 2002. His overarching ambition was introduced to the world in 2003 through his production on RZA’s “Birth of a Prince” album. This period of evolution has led to the growth of Bronze’s connections and building his credits on the independent scene. His music fueled the sale of hundreds-of-thousands of units and left its own indelible imprint upon hip hop, and the Wu-Tang legacy creativity and undeniable talent. He has ultimately developed a style of Production that is transparent, daring, and thoughtful and brings ambitions, turning his time into purpose and lessons into studio sessions.
Known as Legendary by fans and critics he has had a vast array of musical influences however he accredits the pivotal influences in his production to Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Aretha, Wu Tang, NWA, BDK, Jay-Z, Royce 5'9, Rza, Madlib, Roc Marciano. This all culminates in Bronze producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going and fun but still seeks to provoke thought. All through his career he has rose from the ashes like a Phoenix in a rough and infamous neighborhood off of JOY ROAD (Ward Street), with the support of record labels namely Babygrande records and Man Bites Dog Records.
Bronze has released a variety of ground breaking albums notably the Great Migration, Wiseman Approaching, the Living Daylights and a 5th solo project "Thought for Food of Volume 3”. His recent work includes 2015's critically acclaimed collaboration album with Canibus entitled "Time Flies, Life Dies, Phoenix Rise” which debuted at #49 and Billboards top 100 rap albums, #30 (top 100 Hip Hop & R&B) and #135 (top 200 indie albums). Bronze next landed a deal to do an official album with Ghostface Killah titled “The Ghost Files: The Bronze Tape” again hitting billboard at #64 (Rap top 100) and 89 (R&B/Hip Hop) in 2018.
The year 2019 further cemented his legacy by releasing a joint project with Kxng Crooked of Slaughterhouse with the album, Gravitas. Bronze Nazareth, in 2021 has since joined with London, UK star Leaf Dog (4 Owls) churning out the highly regarded "Bundle Raps",
Nazareth also released a project with Recognize Ali (Season of the Se7en), and is currently on many album of the year lists for his dynamic collaboration with the legendary Roc Marciano, "Ekphrasis". Bronzeman released his 6th solo studio album titled 'If You're Worried You Should Be' in October 2022, again recieving critical acclaim.
Bronze’s work exhibits not only his versatility and vocal prowess but has surely cemented his Indie Hip Hop style and has paved the way for the varied expressions of his musical ideas and artistic craft. This is the music that will push the boundaries of our perception as well as inspire and drive us to introspective conversations.
