White Plains, a British pop music group formed in 1969, evolved from The Flower Pot Men, a psychedelic pop band featuring Tony Burrows, Pete Nelson, and Robin Shaw. Initially produced by John Carter, the band transitioned under new producers Roger Greenaway and Roger Cook, who also wrote and produced their songs. After releasing "In a Moment of Madness" as their final single with Deram Records, the group rebranded to White Plains. The group achieved commercial success with several singles, beginning with "My Baby Loves Lovin'" in 1970, which peaked at number 9 on the UK Singles Chart and reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band's lineup underwent frequent changes, including the addition of Ricky Wolff as lead vocalist and later members such as Roger Hills, Robin Box, Ron Reynolds, Brian Johnston, and David Kerr-Clemenson. Notable hits included 1970's "I've Got You on My Mind" (number 17 in the UK), "Julie Do Ya Love Me" (number 8 in the UK), and 1971's "When You Are a King" (number 13 in the UK). The group disbanded in 1976 after releasing their final single, "Step Into a Dream," which reached number 21 on the UK Singles Chart. The group reunited briefly in 1978 and between 2004 to 2006 before making their last appearance in 2013.
