Breaking Point was an American rock band from Memphis, Tennessee. Formed in 1999, the group consisted of Jody Abbott on drums, Justin Rimer on lead guitar, Brett Erickson on vocals and lead/rhythm guitar, Greg Edmondson on bass guitar, Aaron "Zeke" Dauner on drums, and David Cowell on guitar. Their debut album, Coming of Age (2001), was released under Wind-up Records, featuring the singles "Coming of Age" (2001) and "Brother" (2001). Their follow-up album, Beautiful Disorder (2005), featured notable tracks including "Show Me a Sign" (2005), which peaked at number 25 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and "All Messed Up" (2005), which reached number 26 on the Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks chart. Their career spanned several years before disbanding in 2007. Abbott passed away in 2022. Their discography also includes the singles "One of a Kind" (2002) and "Promise Keeper" (2005).
