9MM officially formed in 2006 in Hanau (Hesse, Germany) under the name Rock Rotten's 9mm Assi Rock'n'Roll. However, an earlier formation dates back to the early 2000s. The members include frontman Rock Rotten (vocals, guitar), guitarist Ritchi, bassist Maubi and drummer Bommel. The band plays a genre that moves between hard rock, punk and metal. Well-known albums include the debut album Assi Rock'n'Roll (2006), followed by Fegefeuer (2008) and Quo Vadis (2009). Other successful albums include Champagne, Coke and Hookers (2010), Dem Teufel ein Gebet (2011), Volle Kraft Voraus (2012) and Nitro Killers (2015). After a ten-year break, the album Sex, Bier und Assi Rock is released in October 2025. This marks 9MM's first entry into the German charts at number 95.
