Kurt Wieting is a Manhattan - based songwriter, singer, pianist, arranger, and keyboardist. While much of his career has been spent playing solo piano throughout New York City, Kurt is now utilizing most of his time writing and recording. The New York Times calls his piano playing, “glistening and sophisticated.” Backstage Magazine voted him Best Singer/Songwriter - Pianist, and New Yorker Magazine writes that his singing is, “smooth and stylish.” Kurt has won songwriting awards from both ASCAP and The American Songwriting Contest. His compositions have been featured on network television, and have been performed by Tony - nominated Broadway star Karen Akers, and Star Search winner and ‘Wicked’ alumnus Marty Thomas. Kurt is releasing his new original single ‘Happy Hour’ October 11th.
