Emma Gatrill, born in 1986 in the United Kingdom, is a pianist and multi-instrumentalist based in Brighton. Her debut album, Chapter I, was released in 2012, featuring harp songs accompanied by members of the Willkommen Collective. In 2017, she released her second album, Cocoon, which showcased a broader sonic palette and received positive reviews from outlets such as Stereogum, Clash Music, and Drowned In Sound. Gatrill has collaborated extensively as a session musician, playing clarinet with Laura Marling at Glastonbury in 2011 and touring with artists like This Is The Kit and Sons of Noel and Adrian. She contributed to albums by Alessi's Ark (Time Travel), Lucy Rose (Something’s Changing), and Nick Cave and Warren Ellis' soundtrack for the film Wind River. In February 2023, she released her EP Be Brave, followed by the album Come Swim in 2024.
