Contakt is a native of Michigan and was baptized on the Detroit dance floor by hometown icons like Robert Hood, Mike Clark, and Ectomorph. A frequent attendee at Detroit’s most notorious—and not necessarily legal—parties, Contakt funneled the sound of his native scene onto the dance floors of New York City where he co-founded the boundary-pushing Brooklyn club night TURRBOTAX®. He’s spent years shaping the modern foundations of NYC's music scene from the inside out through legendary labels, era-defining magazines and renegade radio broadcasts - but it's as a producer that he showcases his talents on "Kernal Panic".
