Ellery Guy Rech, known professionally as Juan Ramón, was born on January 13, 1940, in Cañada de Gómez, Argentina. He was a singer and actor who began his music career during adolescence, performing with an orchestra and later joining "Los Casanovas." In 1961, he released his first professional single, "Cuando quieras amor" and "No me digas" under the Disc Jockey label. His debut LP Entre campeonas...un campeón included hits like "Feliz cumpleaños dulces 16," which set sales records. Throughout the 1960s, Juan Ramón released numerous successful singles and appeared on various radio and TV shows. He also ventured into acting, starring in films like El desastrólogo. In 1967, he won the Festival de la Canción en Benidorm with "Cuatro muchachos" and released albums in Italy. Notable songs include "Ma Vie," "Cariñito," "Tabaco y Ron", and "Macumba." Juan Ramón passed away on July 30, 2020, leaving behind a legacy of over 40 albums and 48 compilations.
