If you're familiar with the French soul & RnB indie scene, you probably have heard of the graceful high tones of Jo Wedin. The Paris-based, Swedish singer&songwriter has woven her unique voice across different groups and genres: in collaboration with other artists (Yuksek, Didaï, Télépopmusik, Alex Rossi, Mlamusic, Jean Felzine), and now going solo. The voice has always been at the center of her music. She's an artist who has experimented throughout her career, finding and developing her sound. She's been writing songs for years, touring mainly in France with her French pop duo, and singing jazz and soul in hotels in Paris. Her music is a groovy blend of soul and pop that places an emphasis on the smooth texture of the voice. Inspired by the past (Minnie Riperton, Janet Jackson) as well as the present (Cleo Sol, Solange), Jo wedin's music skillfully mixes 70's soul and the chemical groove of modern R'n'B and pop.
