Peter and Steven is the new project created by Dr Nokman and Dj Call....
Behind the Ptr & Stvn project are two technic turntable backpackers, Dr Nokman and Dj Call. One is the founder, among others, of the Natty Bass Sound System founded in London and which absorbed and participated in the evolution of Hip Hop and Rave culture in the 90s in Lyon, the second dj and distinguished scratcher, capable of disassemble and reassemble a vintage drum machine virtually blindfolded.
Their hybrid style, electronic but deeply rooted in Sound System culture and the hunt for samples, is relevant and attracts attention: remixes, productions and tours follow one another.
Their 4-deck sets inspired by Hip Hop, D'n'B, Breaks and Electro combine Live Remix, Classic Mix and a good dose of Scratch.
The forced cessation of touring gives the duo the opportunity to focus on collaborations with notably the trumpeter N'ZENG (the people of the grass), the rapper ONIRI, the Beat Boxer and Beat Maker RHUM ONE or DJ FLY which we no longer present, just like remixes for Dr Vince (Svinkels / Stupeflip) or Flavia Cohélo.
