STUCK (with Friends) est un EP qui reprend d'anciens titres avec le trompettiste Camille Duboisset et le Sinful Trio.
Following STUCK and Solastalgie, Léo Petitot releases STUCK (with friends), an EP featuring seven tracks from the first opus, this time recorded live with trumpeter Camille Duboisset and the Sinful Trio.
This music, with its romantic overtones, draws freely on both classical and jazz idioms, harboring childhood secrets and dreams of elsewhere.
Each track describes a stage in a story of the search for meaning in music, in a world where ecological upheavals are altering our convictions, our lifestyles and our relationship with the future. It is a story about eco-anxiety and the new imaginaries that could make us find optimism through music and enter into resonance.
After a first solo piano album, presented at FIMU 2019, Léo Petitot, a 24-year-old self-taught pianist-composer, releases "STUCK", an album recorded alone and 100% confined, co-produced with the label Blang Music. With piano, guitar, bass, synthesizers and beat-making, he borrows the electro-pop language to make jazz more accessible. When the traveller-trailer composed this album in the spring of 2020, moving images of mountains, forests and freedom were on the horizon. A music with cinematographic accents that he plays like the pianist Novecento, Baricco's hero "So that people don't feel time passing, and so that they forget where they were and who they were."
