Still bathin' in the light...
Lunarity, from lunar clarity. From cherished time with high school friends in moonlit parks, around midnight beach fires; talking, contemplating, dreaming. From having been born under a full moon Cancri.
For this singer/songwriter, college plans in the mid-70's were cut short by a concussion at an ice-skating rink. The music of the day became his refuge, the musicians of the day his proxy family. He sent out a basement tape (attic tape, really) to say just hello, but the replies and the emotions they generated chased him back into his shell.
Eventually, with help from friends, family and a string of manual labor jobs, normalcy slowlyreturned. Shoving the notebook of songs into the bottom drawer, he went back to college, and on a long winding road ended up as a university educator.
Fast forward thirty years, and early retirement found him digging the songbook back out of the bottom drawer. The result is the debut album 40 Years In. The title is literal: the opening track Post Due was penned back in 1978, while the last track Brand New Day was written in 2019. album contains seven tracks written from 1978 to 1985; the remainder were written from 2016 to 2019.
He is currently picking away at his second album, twelve more songs of love, angst and modern day observation, and hopes to have a new single out early in 2022.
