Hazzah, born Harry, has been exploring various genres ever since he discovered his passion for guitar-playing at the age of 12. Having been brought up by a Mancunian mother and a French father, his origins have crafted his original musical style. From Foo Fighters, Oasis and Nirvana to Travis Scott, PNL and Lil Peep – Harry’s influences have evolved with time.
From 2013 to 2017, the young artist showcased his singing, songwriting and guitar-playing skills with his garage rock band called Juice. The trio played numerous concerts in their hometown Cherbourg, France, and released a ground-breaking EP that saw the eyes of the local media being drawn to them. This was just the beginning for Harry, as he then moved to London to pursue his songwriting studies. The Franco-British artist put his Juice-years aside and released ‘Burried Memories’, ‘Lovacation’ and ‘Gus’ – three tracks he wrote as a solo artist, adopting a calmer yet still rock-like approach.
It was in 2018 though, that he took a leap to fully familiarise himself with another evolving genre – rap music. The following year, he began working on a collaborative project with his mate ONZ, a bass-music maker. From that point on, Harry decided to introduce a sort of alter-ego baptised Hazzah, throughout their first EP entitled Yam and their pilot single ‘Level’ – where grunge vocals meet sleek beats while combining two different worlds in one rap-influenced universe. Hazzah is the logical continuation of Harry’s career as a singer-songwriter who knows how to adapt to the current musical landscape, without ever neglecting his authentic roots.
