BONBON NOIR?? WTF??
Bonbon Noir is a private club created by Anita Black.
A mansion on top of Bull Rock, an island opposite Ireland.
This cult place gathered the greatest artists from 1936 to 1965. Free spirits, painters, scientists, musicians from all walks of life, from Colette to Elvis to Louis Prima. The great figures of blues, jazz, swing, rock n roll, experimental music, trance... this mythical and mystical place is entirely dedicated to counter culture.
In 1965, the mansion was destroyed by arson.
The four permanent musicians disappeared.
If you have the chance to visit Bull Rock, listen carefully. In the midst of the storms you will probably hear the echoes of their songs. Four ghosts mourning their stage, their dressing room, and the crazy nights of the past. They compose, they wander, hoping to see Anita Black and their beloved club, Le Bonbon Noir, again.
The strange company:
L. Erwan Kern, the storyteller, lyricist, the compass.
At the helm is Rek, polyinstrumentalist and explorer of sounds. He is the elusive artistic producer of this epic trip. Matt, chiseller beat maker, illustrator and graphic designer. Dave the jouster, bassist and arranger.
Who drives the van?
With Bonbon Noir, Laurent Querné, alias L. Erwan Kern, director artist and singer of the indie rock group Flying Pooh, creates a collaborative project and surrounds himself with talents of all kinds to give birth to a multidisciplinary and multifaceted artistic work.
A novel, an immersive and cinematographic musical first album (you can find on all the streaming platforms)illustrations and graphic creations to put the story into images from Anita Black. And, who knows, other projects to come?
