Introducing musician & producer Susan Bear, a much respected and sought-after stalwart of the Scottish music scene and a lynchpin of Lost Map Records.
Whether as producer, songwriter, sound-designer, bassist, keyboardist, or something in between, Suse has variously worked with artists including Tuff Love, Pictish Trail, Martha Ffion, The Pastels, Malcolm Middleton, Karine Polwart and Goodnight Louisa.
Her debut album Creature (2020) – released under previous moniker, Good Dog - featured the Spotify and Apple Music playlisted song ‘Floating’ (“Gentle, dreamy mood music” – The Scotsman).
Susan’s second LP, Alter (2022) was supported by BBC Radio- Radcliffe & Maconie, Amy Lamé, Vic Galloway & Roddy Hart.
Her new material, due for release late autumn 2023, sees Susan lean further into her electronic side establishing a new direction - still melancholy tapey music to reflect to but this time upping the energy and production taking influence from club & dance music.
